How to Reach Yamunotri

Char Dham pilgrimage and is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. To reach Yamunotri, you can follow these steps:

By Air:

The nearest airport to Yamunotri is the Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, which is well-connected to major cities like Delhi. From the airport, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Hanuman Chatti, which is the base camp for the trek to Yamunotri.

By Train:

The nearest railway station to Yamunotri is the Dehradun Railway Station. From Dehradun, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Hanuman Chatti.

By Road:

If you prefer to travel by road, you can drive or take a bus from Dehradun to reach Hanuman Chatti. From Hanuman Chatti, you will need to trek for about 13 kilometers to reach Yamunotri.   Once you reach Hanuman Chatti, you will need to trek through scenic trails along the Yamuna River to reach the sacred shrine of Yamunotri. It is advisable to plan your trip during the summer months, as the region experiences heavy snowfall in winter, making it difficult to access the area. Additionally, it’s important to carry sufficient water, snacks, and first-aid supplies during the trek.
