Yamunotri Temple

Yamunotri Temple, located in Uttarakhand, India, is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. It is one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites and marks the source of the Yamuna River. The temple, perched at an altitude of 3,293 meters, is surrounded by snow-capped peaks and hot springs. It was originally built by Maharaja Pratap Shah of Tehri Garhwal. Pilgrims undertake a strenuous trek to reach the temple, which is open from May to November. Bathing in the hot springs and offering prayers to the river goddess are key rituals for devotees visiting Yamunotri.
