Registration mandatory for Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra 2024

Like last year, this time too the devotees coming on Chardham Yatra will have to register for the yatra. The Tourism Department in Uttarakhand is preparing to start the registration process after the date of opening of doors of Kedarnath Dham is decided. For this, the online registration system has been updated. The Tourism Department has released an amount of Rs 5 crore to the Garhwal Divisional Commissioner for travel arrangements. This amount will be spent on better arrangements and facilities for pilgrims in Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. The Tourism Department is also updating the system for online registration. So that during registration, the pilgrims can get every information regarding the timings and accommodation arrangements for visiting the Dhams.

Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj said that after the date of opening of doors is decided, registration will be started for the convenience of pilgrims. Registration will be mandatory to come on the journey. This time also a large number of devotees are expected to come for the Chardham Yatra. In view of this, instructions have been given to the concerned departments to complete the preparations for the yatra on time.

Let us tell you that the doors of Badrinath Dham, the main Dham among the Chardhams, will open on May 12. This time Akshaya Tritiya is on 10th May, on this day the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham will open. The date of opening of doors of Kedarnath Dham will be announced on 8th March on the day of Mahashivratri.
