Vaishno Devi Yatra Registration

Getting registered for the Vaishno Devi Yatra is most important for everyone who is willing to go for Maa vaishno devi yatra. Vaishno Devi Yatra Registration is done at the Yatri Registration counter (YRC) near the Bus Stand Katra. Yatra Registration is also possible online through the website of Shri Mata Vaishno devi shrine board.

All pilgrims must register themselves before undertaking the Vaishno Devi Yatra. Registration is done by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. Shrine Board the only STATUTORY & LEGAL authority for the purpose. No other organization, private or public is authorized to issue the Yatra registration.

Yatra Registration is FREE and fully computerized. This is done at the Yatra Registration Counter located at Katra Bus Stand. Accordingly, each Yatri is photographed on the spot after registering his name, basic information and is given an RFID Yatra Access Card which is a documentary permission to continue his journey to the main shrine. The Yatri must cross the first checkpoint at Banganga (about 1.5 km from YRC) within 6 hours of issuing the RFID card. Otherwise his Yatra Access Card will be confiscated at the Check Post and the yatra will have to get a brand new Yatra Access Card. The entire Yatra registration process is fully computerized making it convenient, efficient and smooth. It should be noted that yatri’s proceeding without a RFID yatra pass will be turned back at the Banganga check post and may not proceed. In rare cases, if a Yatri is found in the Bhawan/way without an RFID yatra access card, he/she will not only be sent back but will also be subject to disciplinary action.
